CareArc is proud to celebrate National Health Center Week (NHCW) 2024, taking place August 4-10, by hosting a Diaper Drive to support Shiloh House. This annual event highlights the essential role Community Health Centers play in improving public health and advancing health equity. Health centers represent the nation’s largest primary care network, serving 31.5 million patients nationwide.
This year’s NHCW celebration, launched by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), focuses on “Powering Communities Through Caring Connections”.
With a mission to make high-quality, affordable care available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status, health centers save lives on the front lines of our nation’s most pressing public health challenges. They are powered by a workforce of nearly 300,000 dedicated professionals who reach beyond the walls of the exam room to not only prevent illness but also address the social drivers that may cause it – climate change, homelessness, substance use disorders, food insecurity, and behavioral health.
“National Health Center Week is a time to celebrate the vital role that community health centers play in promoting public health and equity,” said Renee Hively, CEO of CareArc. “Through our Diaper Drive, we aim to support Shiloh House in their mission to provide essential resources and support to families in need. We invite our community to join us in this effort, helping to ensure that all children have the supplies they need for a healthy start in life.”

To celebrate NHCW, CareArc is hosting a Diaper Drive from August 5-9. We invite the community to donate diapers and baby wipes, which will be delivered to Shiloh House. Shiloh House serves families expecting babies and those with small children through their pregnancy center, and they offer residential support to women and children seeking to stabilize their lives.
CareArc encourages everyone to drop off diapers and baby wipes at our front desk from August 5-9. While Shiloh House is particularly in need of Size 6 diapers, all sizes are welcome.
Join us in making a difference during National Health Center Week by supporting our local families and contributing to this important cause.
